Corrections to a temperature, a light figure or a load rating get answered first, because a wrong number in a sizing tool is worse than having no tool at all.

What gets answered fastest

  1. Corrections. A germination temperature, a DLI target, an R-value, a snow load rating, or a calculator giving an answer that looks wrong. Include what you entered and what you expected.
  2. Sizing questions. Include your USDA zone, the greenhouse dimensions or the space you have, whether it is heated, and what you want to grow. Zone and heating change the answer more than budget does.
  3. Permission to reuse a chart or table.

What this site cannot help with

Diagnosing a sick plant from a description, which needs someone looking at it, and anything requiring a licensed electrician, which includes running power or a circuit out to a greenhouse. Your local cooperative extension service will beat any website on region-specific growing questions and on plant disease identification, and contacting them is genuinely the best move a new grower can make.
