Raised garden bed plans PDF to build a simple cedar raised bed in one afternoon from a handful of standard 8 ft boards. Nine builds in one kit: a classic raised bed in 4 x 8, 4 x 4 and 2 x 8 ft, the same bed with a critter fence and a hinged gate, an elevated planter box on legs with a lower shelf for patios and bad backs, and a tall 3-board 4 x 8 bed with or without the fence. If you can put together flat-pack furniture, you can build this: numbered steps with one clear drawing each, a parts list with letters, a very short cut list and a shopping list for each size.

Please note. This is a digital download, no physical item ships. These are generic DIY plans, not engineered drawings, and the builds have not been tested to any standard. A bed full of wet soil is heavy: build on level ground, and do not put the elevated bed on a deck or roof without checking what it can carry. Use cedar or other untreated wood for vegetables, never railroad ties or creosote-treated wood, and ask your local extension office about treated lumber. Keep children from climbing on the beds and fence. Lumber, wire, soil and hardware are not included. Colors can look a little different on your screen and printer.
